What is behind the Terra Canis "Essential 8" menus?
The "Essential 8" menus consist of eight carefully selected basic ingredients and an additional source of protein, which together create a balanced, species-appropriate dog menu. The base consists of two high-quality varieties of meat or fish & meat to combine the best properties of two protein sources - e.g. chicken & horse, beef & chicken, or chicken & salmon.
Which plant-based ingredients are included?
In addition to meat and fish, the menus contain high-energy millet, crunchy carrot, mild courgette and juicy apple. These ingredients contain vitamins, minerals and fibre and ensure a varied, species-appropriate diet with natural nutrients.
What role does coconut flour play in the "Essential 8" menus?
Coconut flour is often referred to as a real superfood for dogs: It is rich in fibre, free from gluten, cholesterol and phytic acid, low in fat and provides essential amino acids.
Which herbs are included?
The menus contain herbs such as thyme, chervil and sage, which have an aromatic scent and give the menus that little bit extra as well as the typical Terra Canis fragrance.
How does Terra Canis guarantee quality and safety?
All raw materials are 100% human-grade quality at the time of processing. There are no animal by-products, flavourings, preservatives or sugar used. The menus are produced in Terra Canis' own production facility near Munich and the balanced composition is guaranteed by veterinarians. Terra Canis therefore offers the highest quality, optimum flavour and the best aroma.
