Low Mineral FAQs

These diet menus have been specially developed for dogs with struvite stones or crystals. They support the dissolution of struvite stones and reduce recurrences in order to maintain the health of the urinary tract.
The menus contain high-quality, human-grade meat and therefore highly digestible protein. At the same time, they have low magnesium content and support an acidic urine pH value, making it difficult for struvite crystals to form.
Certain cereals and minerals can change the pH value of the urine and encourage the formation of stones. The diet menus are grain-free, contain methionine and at the same time are low in magnesium to keep the urine in an acidic range and counteract the formation of struvite stones.
A slightly higher salt content encourages the dog to drink more and promotes increased urine flow. It is essential to ensure that the dog has access to plenty of fresh water at all times.
The menus are ideal for dogs suffering from struvite crystals or stones. The diet menus serve a therapeutic function and they should always be used in accordance with the vet’s guidance.
